THE LITTLES - THE COMPLETE ORIGINAL ANIMATED SERIES DEBUTS IN A FIVE DVD BOX SET FROM S'MORE ENTERTAINMENT ON NOVEMBER 13

S'more Entertainment announces the upcoming October 16, 2007 release of "The Littles" a five disc DVD collection of the complete series of 29 episodes from the eponymous beloved children's animated series from DIC Entertainment. The series is derived from the title characters of a series of children's novels by American author John Peterson, the first of which was published in 1967. Peterson's books were later adapted into the animated series.

"The Littles" features a family of tiny but intelligent humanoid creatures with mouse-like features that live within the walls of the house owned by the Bigg family. Thirteen year old Henry Bigg discovers the mouse like creature in his suitcase while on vacation and a brand new world peppered with elf-like humanoid creatures called "The Littles" changes his life forever. Henry is the only full-sized human who sees them and can interact with them.

The series focuses on the adventures of the whole family of Littles: William and Lucy Little help raise their three children, 21-year-old Dinky, 13-year-old Tom and 10-year-old Lucy. Dinky is the clumsy and goofy-voiced pilot 21 year old who is out of school and is usually seen helping Grandpa Little out by doing a a variety of chores, while Mr. and Mrs. Little work during the day. Tom is the excited one and Lucy is the youngest and smallest and always ready to do something.

In their quest to become productive adults, The Littles and their full sized human friend Henry face the same kinds of problems that young children face every day - issues of friendship, jealousy, honesty, prejudice, consideration for others, kindness, responsibility, risk-taking ... and more.

Each episode of The Littles focuses on one such issue, presenting it in explicit, concrete terms. And young, attractive characters serve as excellent role models for young viewers. Younger and older children, boys and girls, loners and social butterflies... can all find a character with whom to identify and from whom to learn.

No adventure series is complete without its villains, and The Littles is no exception. Their exciting adventures and the suspense generated by their frequent narrow escapes from Dr Hunter are designed to capture and hold young viewers' attention. Each lesson depicted in the excellent series provides a readily identifiable role model and stories that are designed to ensure that children note and understand the embedded pro-social content as they derive delight from the action.
