BURBANK, CA - Starz Home Entertainment defends free speech in the upcoming DVD release of Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-up: Season 1. Featuring over six hours of uncensored stand-up, Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-up showcases some of the nation's most talented young comedians on the circuit today. The series is hosted by one of Hollywood's most hilarious comedians Doug Williams and is executive produced by legendary comedian Martin Lawrence. This two-disc DVD will be available on August 28, 2007 for the SRP of $29.97.

Martin Lawrence's 1st Amendment Stand-up features over 27 of the nation's hottest urban comedians including heavyweight funnyman Ralphie May, Cocoa Brown (Comic View), Thea Vidale, ATL's own Griff, Loni Love (Variety's 10 Comics to Watch) as well as Deon Cole, one of the most requested headliners on the current club circuit. The show was shot before a live audience at the Eleven50 Club in Atlanta, GA. DJ Biz Markie adds his music styling to the show's format. Martin Lawrence's 1st Amendment Stand-up is an original production from Starz Entertainment. Along with Williams, it is co-produced and directed by Michael Bohusz with Mojo Raid LLC. The DVD will also include a sneak peek of Season 2.
