Culver City, CA (May 28, 2007) - Angels Fall, starring Heather Locklear (TV's "Melrose Place," "Spin City") and Johnathon Schaech (That Thing You Do!), and Montana Sky, starring John Corbett (TV's "Sex and the City"), Ashley Williams (TV's "Huff") and three-time Academy Award® nominee Diane Ladd (Wild at Heart, Rambling Rose), both debut on DVD August 7 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The two hit Lifetime TV movies, which blend intriguing mysteries with romantic suspense, are based on popular novels by best-selling author Nora Roberts. Each title will be available separately at the suggested retail price of $24.96 each.
Nora Roberts, dubbed "The Nora" by her legions of fans, was recently named by Time Magazine as one of the "100 Most Influential People in the World" and was the first author to be inducted into the Romance Writers of America Hall of Fame. She is one of today's most prolific novelists with more than 150 books in print and sales of over 280 million copies. Angels Fall and Montana Sky represent the first two films of a four-picture deal Roberts made with executive producer Peter Guber (Batman) to turn her popular, best-selling novels in movies for Lifetime.
Directed by Ralph Hemecker (American Dragons), Angels Fall premiered on January 29, 2007. Reece Gilmore (Locklear) leaves town after surviving a massacre at the Boston restaurant where she was the chef. She ends up accepting a job at a diner in Wyoming and gets to know the locals, especially Brady (Schaech), a dashing mystery writer. Reece is considering settling down there permanently, but when she witnesses a murder while hiking, her past comes flooding back to her. As the police investigation proceeds, there is absolutely no evidence of the crime, and everyone doubts her story - which leads Reece to question her own sanity.
Directed by the Emmy®-nominated Mike Robe (TV's "The Burden of Proof"), Montana Sky premiered on February 5, 2007. When multimillionaire cattleman Jack Mercy dies, he leaves his Montana ranch to his three daughters - all half-sisters and complete strangers to one another. But according to his will, the three women will only receive their inheritance under one condition: they must live together at the ranch for a full year. The sisters are challenged by a mysterious saboteur who is determined to see them fail and must solve some mysteries their father left behind in order to receive their inheritance.
