TOUR OF DUTY:

Emmy AwardŽ- Nominated Series Debuts
on Multi-Disc Collector's DVD Set December 12

Culver City, CA (October 3, 2005) - With gritty action sequences and powerfully realistic storylines, Tour of Duty was the first television series to transport audiences to the frontlines of the Vietnam War. Now fans of the critically-acclaimed groundbreaking series can own the entire collection of 58 episodes when TOUR OF DUTY: THE ENTIRE SERIES debuts on DVD December 12 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The 14-disc set features all three seasons of the series in one collectible set and will be priced at $121.95 SLP.

Critics as well as Vietnam veterans bestowed high praise on Tour of Duty for going beyond the political turmoil caused by the Vietnam War to portray the human side of the conflict. Featuring a talented young ensemble cast, the series focuses on a single platoon of young U.S. soldiers and their one-year tour of combat in Vietnam during the late 1960s when the war was escalating to terrifying heights. The series portrays a diverse group of infantrymen -- representing unique racial, cultural and philosophical backgrounds -- who ultimately learn to depend on one another to stay alive. Starring Terence Knox (TV's St. Elsewhere), Stephen Caffrey (Longtime Companion) and Miguel Nunez, Jr. (TV's Joey, Juwanna Mann), Tour of Duty ran for three years on CBS and was nominated for three consecutive Emmy Awards.

The First Season follows Bravo Company's new recruits, who are pulled in by Sgt. Zeke Anderson (Knox), an amiable and popular sergeant, already on his third tour of duty. Familiar with the horrors of the jungle, Knox is determined to keep himself and his young men alive. Anderson shares a mutual respect with Capt. Rusty Wallace (Kevin Conroy), the company commander and tolerant leader of the young soldiers for whom he is responsible. Lt. Myron Goldman (Caffrey), a newly arrived officer, is eager to demonstrate leadership despite his inexperience and he soon proves his worth as Company B -- Pvt. Roger Horn (Maurer), "Doc" Randy Matsuda (Steve Akahoshi), Cpl. Danny Percell (Tony Becker), Pvt. Alberto Ruiz (Ramon Franco) and Pvt. Marcus Taylor (Nunez) -- becomes one of the top platoons in the division.

In the Second Season, Bravo Company returns as the platoon is transferred to the Tan Son Nhut Base outside Saigon. It's a whole new war with deepening plot lines, different battles and new faces including some beautiful women. The second season features guest appearances by Michael Madsen (Kill Bill, Vols. 1 and 2), Angela Bassett (Mr. 3000, Sunshine State), Malcolm Jamal-Warner (TV's The Cosby Show, Listen Up), Carl Weathers (the Rocky films, TV's In the Heat of the Night, Happy Gilmore) and Kim Delaney (TV's NYPD Blue).

In the third and final season, the young combat soldiers in Southeast Asia face deeply personal distress as drug use, mass murder and desertions affect morale and the troops become more aware of the growing anti-war movement back home. Kim Delaney and John Dye (TV's Touched by an Angel) both joined as regulars for the show's final season. Danny Nucci (Titanic), Greg Germann (TV's Ally McBeal), Cameron Bancroft (TV's 24) and Carl Weathers guest star.
